The Crystal Palace is a beautiful park which offers a break from the urban bustle and a beautiful view over the city and the River Douro.
Separated into two different levels, the park has plenty of open green lawns, a selection of statues, exotic plants, a large pond with ducks and swans and a number of peacocks roaming around and boasting their colorful feathers. All through the year there a special musical concerts which take place in the park's Concha Acústica (acoustic shell).
In the center of the park, in the Rosa Mota Pavilion, there is a lovely café in which you can catch a bite to eat or a drink. Alternatively, you could just go for some (more!) port tasting at the Quinta da Macieirinha.
In the park you'll find the local community of Porto walking around the various gardens, playing with their kids or enjoying a lazy romantic afternoon, depending on the size of the family.
The Crystal Palace offers the perfect recreational breather, right in the centre of Porto.
