Infante de Sagres is one of most unique five star hotels in Porto when it comes to décor and location.

This stylish old fashioned hotel is one of the only five star accommodation options within the Historical Centre of Porto. The décor of the lobby, dining room and other public areas of the hotel are exceptional, boasting the long history of this unique building with magnificent chimney cuts, vitrages by Ricardo Leaone and a selection of Chinese porcelain.

Unfortunately, the rooms are a little less appealing, and do not manage to live up to the hotel's five star standard. They are a little small and not as well-kept as one would expect from a hotel at this level. Visitors also complain that the beds tend to be a little uncomfortable.

Nevertheless, Infante de Sagres is an exceptional hotel that offers a wonderfully elegant atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. The staff may tend to go a littler over the top when it come to etiquette and manners, so if proper service is not exactly your cup of tea, you might want to consider somewhere else.
